Issue of Medijaring Claims

Announcement:
PMPASKL has been informed that members have faced claims issues with Medijaring.
Clinics and doctors have not been paid for several months, and no reliable answer has been forthcoming from the company.
Also many hospitals have rejected this company's Letters of Guarantee for hospitalisation.
Some of the clients have also resorted to direct dealings with the medical providers due to card rejection.
As such, members who have MCO arrangement with this company are advised to exercise caution
and take appropriate action to prevent bad claims experiences.

Below is a posting taken from MPCN site for your information.

Meeting at Global Towers…..18th October 2012

This is the outcome from today meeting with Medijaring…..

We had a long meeting with them…the CEO, COO and all the top people
in Medijaring has actually sat down and explained why they are having
so much difficulty to settle all their backdated debts to their panels
of clinics and hospitals…..

We had listen to their problems and get to understand that there is a
lot of Operational difficulties with their Major Client that is ETIQA(
60%-majority) which has irregularities with the account and failure of
communication with them….also noted were the problems of failed
transfer of data between Medijaring and Etiqa and due to that they
suffered backlog payments and many double payments which requires a
lot of back tracking……and the time wasted on this to verify the
payments ……

We have also stressed that we need them to solve this problem as this
is already been hurting not only them but the whole major stakeholders
and players within their sphere of business environment…and each
backlash will only resulting in a prolonged agony of frustration and
distrust…..

They seek our understanding that we need to continue the cashless
service to their other clients to ensure the flow of money into each
others so as to maintain the continuity of their operations as a
healthcare intermediary……They seek us to know that they are doing
their best to solve the ongoing backdated debts and really put in
their entire effort to pay everyone back as soon as they can…that's
what they promised us today….

After listening to them and witness the pressure they have felt due to
our boycott of cashless service, we came to understand they are
actually also a victim from bad paymaster and this will lead to a
domino effect on all their clients as well as the healthcare
provider…….

They agree to let all members see their problems and to explained that
they have prepared an explanation letter to us exclusively and I have
just read thru and I feel all members must read it as they have proof
to show why they can't pay as they promised all this while….please
do read below the file that I have uploaded and this letter is based
on my request to them to show their honesty and truth that they are
not lying to us as of what Etiqa has done to us in the last
meeting…..

We have seen both sides of the players in this game of pointing
fingers as to whom the blame falls and we realized the need of this
two major player to come out clean with all their
clients…..Medijaring has agreed to engage with Etiqa to have a
meeting with all concerned clinics and hospitals to sit down and
explained and to find a solution on how and when they can all pay the
affected doctors back…That will be our main concern and what we are
there for all this while…..

I have worked hard on this issue of payments and delayed failed
promise with them…both sides i.e, Etiqa and Medijaring and we have
reached a point where they will now both dependent on what we are
going to do and how we can help them…..

We have seen their problems and we have seen their obstacles that has
created chaos and affected their smooth running of their operations
…they are also been limited to what they can do with their poor
communications with their clients and they have admitted that they
can't survive without us as their co-partners in this field…We have
successfully route out their teething problems and make it known to
them that we play an integral part of their business environment…..

I shall awaits further instructions from both Medijaring and Etiqa on
how best to resolve this issue and the meeting of the 3 main players
will be conducted and we will act as their mediators…..

En.Hashim has requested (based on my suggestion on how to get the
money back to all affected members )for a re-submission of those who
still haven't got their payments and THEY are very sincere on how to
pay all of the back dated dues as soon as they can……This is what
they assured us of today and they trust us enough to lay out their
otherwise P&C details for us all to see…..

And with that knowledge in hand and our request heard, they have asked
for all panel clinics to help them out so as they can continue to
provide the necessary providence to their clients and that will avoid
the factual possible bankruptcy if our cashless service suspension
continues unabated…They have assured and promised that they will pay
as diligently as possible for the ongoing months(as quickly as
possible is within 14days or within the month itself once claims are
submitted) and they seek all panel clinics and hospital patience and
understanding that their backdated dues will clear albeit slowly but
surely……

The meeting concluded by 500pm

My Thanks for the attendance of our two MPCAM committee Bro Dr Charles
Hedwig Fernandez and bro Dr Peter Chan Teck Hock who had sacrificed
their time and also funds as to represent the entire MPCAM/MPCN
members……

God Bless and we pray and hoped for the best……..in 2 weeks time we
will know more……

The Pantai Hospital group will no longer accept any GL issued by
MediJaring with effect fro last Monday.I have told him to tell his
members to exercise caution and discretion when presented with MJ  GLs
so as not to expose themselves to further risk..
